1. Scope and contact
This policy explains how Just Safe handles personal information when you visit our website or use our applications, extensions and related services. For privacy questions, access, correction or deletion requests, contact support@justsafe.app.
2. Information and purposes
Account services process your email address, sign-in identifiers, session records, plan and device or installation details to authenticate you and manage access. Security checks process the links, text, file details or files you submit or authorize the application to inspect. Technical information, such as IP address, platform, errors and security events, may be processed to operate, protect and troubleshoot the Service. Support processes information you send us to respond to your request.
3. Local checks, cloud checks and choices
Some checks run on your device. Cloud checks can send the submitted URL, text, file metadata or file content to our backend and the processing providers used for that check, depending on the feature and permissions presented to you. Do not submit information you are not authorized to share. Providing information is voluntary unless a legal obligation is expressly stated; declining required account details or permissions may prevent the corresponding feature from working. Optional statistics and threat-reporting controls are separate settings. Account statistics are pseudonymous, not anonymous.
4. Google sign-in
If you choose Google sign-in, we use the Google account identifier and email address made available through the approved identity permissions to sign you in and maintain your account. Google sign-in does not give Just Safe permission to read your Gmail inbox. We do not use Google account data for advertising, sell it, or use it to train general-purpose AI models. Use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. You can revoke access through your Google Account connections settings. Revoking access does not itself delete your Just Safe account; contact us to request deletion.
5. Sharing and international processing
Information may be processed by service providers supporting hosting, authentication, email delivery, security analysis and infrastructure, only for the relevant service purposes. Processing may take place outside your country, subject to applicable transfer requirements. Information may also be disclosed when legally required or necessary to protect rights and investigate abuse. Access is restricted to authorized persons who need it for those purposes. We do not sell personal information or use submitted messages and files for targeted advertising.
6. Storage, security and retention
We use access controls, encrypted connections and other safeguards appropriate to the information, but no system is completely secure. Information is kept only as needed for the feature, account administration, security, dispute resolution or legal duties. Temporary scan content, activity records, statistics and audit records have different retention periods; settings and legal obligations can affect them. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer required. Backup copies may remain until their normal expiry and are not used for routine processing.
7. Browser storage and your rights
The website and account service use browser storage or cookies for preferences, sign-in and security. Your browser can clear or restrict that storage; doing so may reset preferences or sign you out. Subject to applicable law, you may request access to and correction of personal information, request deletion, and withdraw optional consent. We may need to verify your identity and retain information required by law or for legitimate security purposes. You may also contact the competent privacy authority.
8. Children and changes
The Service is not directed to children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information should contact us. We will date policy updates and provide additional notice or obtain consent for material changes where required.
